My commercial photography is all about capturing moments, emotions, and stories and post editing is part of my process.
A photograph straight out of the camera, even when captured well, is only the foundation. The colours haven’t been balanced, distractions are still present in the scene, the tones lack depth, and the overall feel hasn’t yet been aligned with your brand or campaign. Post-editing is where these elements are brought together so the imagery is cohesive, purposeful, and ready for commercial use.
This stage of the process often takes just as long as the shoot itself, and in many cases, considerably longer. That’s because each image is adjusted individually, without presets, shortcuts, or batch edits that compromise authenticity. My goal is always to create natural, timeless, and professional imagery that aligns with the brief and serves the needs of your business. Understanding this stage helps clients appreciate not only the time involved, but also the craftsmanship: why post-editing requires skill, why it adds value, and why it directly influences the impact of your final images. When done properly, post-editing elevates a set of photos into a clear, consistent visual story — one that represents your company in the best possible way.
Below i’ve included some ‘before and after’ images that showcases the process from RAW files to finished image.
